hey I'm Kristy and I'm a makeup artist from Brisbane. I've been working in the cosmetics industry for the last 2 years and was ready to up the ante in my life to become a free lance makeup artist.
I currently manage a cosmetics counter in Brisbane City after an 8 year stint in fashion.
So after my 38 hr week i partake in 15 hrs of studying at the academy of makeup to finish my certificate 4 in makeup artistry! If thats not PASSION i dont know what is... :)
As you already can see I love what I do and I "Love My Makeup" hence the name for my new business.
I still manage to fit in enough time for myself, friends and photo shoots as I'm lucky in my position to shuffle around my time given enough notice.
I WILL work TFP so I can build my portfolio, my skills are there I just dont have a collection as of yet.
In terms of makeup skills I am competent and confident in the following:
camouflage, colour fashion photography and black & white photography, bridal, hairstyling, fashion (catwalk and creative), asian, geisha and fantasy just to name a few.
I will be a qualified airbrush makeup artist end of dec 09!!
I would love to work and be a part of any project that is thrown my way as I want to work with other creative people to create amazing images!!
Things that inspire me are great use of rich colour, grafitti art (coming from my hometown in NZ its big there!), powerful images that tell a story, tokyo street style and feminine beauty.
As you can see my port is new and on the up but I was requested to have a full page publication in 'discerning bride' annual magazine for valiant hire which will be published Jan 2010.

Yeah, I am still waiting for activation for my make up artist MM account. They are taking their time. There is not much on mine though either.
I need to organise a shoot for my make up, because all I have it shoots from in class at the course.
New York! Lucky. You can take me in your suitcase if you'd like haha. I plan on moving with a working visa once I turn 18 for 6 months or so.
& sure! keep me updated on the make up and modeling side of things.
