Following graduation from law school, I joined a Los Angeles firm working as a Personal Manager for models, actors, musicians and other artists.  It was during this time that I developed a love for photography and a desire to help those who were attempting to launch a professional career in their desired field.  I left the Personal Management profession after a few years when a lucrative business opportunity was presented to me in the field of financial services.  My life long love of photography has drawn me back along with that early commitment to helping beginners achieve their dreams.  Whether I shoot with you or not, I will try to offer any advice that I can - strictly as a friend - to help you achieve your goals.

I tend to be somewhat selective in the models I work with and will not accept an assignment unless I genuinely believe that, together, working as a team, we can create something truly defining and magnificent.  This is an endeavor that can be as creative and beautiful as a Picaso; as heart rending as a Puccini opera.  That is the way that I choose to look at this work in order to inspire me to achieve a greater outcome. If I send you a friend request or have accepted your friend request, it generally means that I believe you possess the look and carriage to succeed in this business and would enjoy collaborating with you.  All shoots, whether paid or TF, will be covered by a contract and release which specifies the terms and expectations of each of us and will have been arranged in advance of the shoot so that neither one of us encounters any surprises.  I prefer to operate in a purely upfront manner so that my clients can feel comfortable and confident in the outcome.

I WILL WORK ON A TF BASIS with models trying to start a career or seeking to expand or update their portfolios.  To do so, I expect the model to be committed to this field as a professional endeavor and not as a sideline or a hobby or to satisfy some narcissistic instinct.  This is a business that requires energy and focus and I want to give my time to those who are seriously pursuing a career in this industry or at least exploring the desire to do so.  I do not hurry through a shoot.  The result is what is important no matter how much time it takes.  I prefer to spend at least one hour in advance of a shoot talking with the model, listening to what it is they want to accomplish from the shoot, their ideas, their primary field(s) of interest, and discussing our shared vision so that we can make the shoot a success and achieve the outcome we both desire.  As for models, my primary focus is men, 18 - 25 with a certain look.  When selecting models, it starts with the face, then the smile, then the visual personality which really can add a great deal to a photographic session.  Beyond that I look for a slender, toned build and a height that is suitable to the type of shoot (print, runway, etc.).  If you are looking to build, enhance or update your portfolio, feel free to contact me and let me know what you want to accomplish.  Time permitting, I will schedule a TF shoot with you.  Minor editing will be included where appropriate and a CD furnished to you with all final shots.

For a paying client, my rates are reasonable and satisfaction is guaranteed.  Any editing or retouching that is needed will be performed prior to delivery of the finished product.

In the very near future, I will be developing a web site on which both paying and non-paying clients will be provided a page for the display of photos from our shoot along with their statistics and contact information.  The format will be similar in construct to those provided by agencies to showcase their clients.  Additionally, I am in the final stages of finishing an instructive booklet offering advice and guidance to aspiring models which will be posted on the new web site when completed.
