I'm new to MM. I met most of the models and photographers in a recent shoot of Oct. 3, 2009 at George's 'Studio/house'.
I have been doing fine art photography for a while now. I would like to do more portraits and concepts involving ideas from other models. I usually work collaboratively with the models to come up with a look. I try to convey a simple look.
I'm learning to shoot with Strobist.
In the past, I find that I like to do natural available lights and often shot with just a quiet camera and simple lighting.
My shots are not glamour shots but more natural and strive to capture the moment, the mood, and the intimacy.
Some BS: I think that a model will allow the camera/photographer in only as much as he/she is willing to and as the moment unfolds, as one and another grow more familiar (but not too familiar) with each other. I think it's a strange and curious meeting of strangers and cameras and there is such an intimate act involved that we all seem to take for granted. The magic doesn't happen until one of us gives in to the other.
