A background in make-up that evolved from the time I started working full-time as Mannequin Make-up Artist, which is when decision was made to transfer ideas and skills onto live canvases/models.
Following an intensive course in Make-up, endeavoured to work with various photograghers and artists, who have given me alot of creative freedom to produce some amazing images.
With a Fine Art background, it's essential for me to incorporate what most inspires into concepts and designs, to create works of art. For example a few favourite artists/photographers are G.Klimt, J.E.Millais, Wangechi Mutu, Chris Ofili, Tim Burton, Alex Box, R.Avedon, Rankin, J.Saudek, Darek Pietraszko.....
Primarily interested in shoots with fantastic costume and period settings, have a love for the very avant garde/high fashion and special effects.
But don't want to limit myself, so are open to other ideas/projects, whatever intrigues me.
This is why I also do some hair and styling which demonstrates a versatility. I also create costumes when neccessary for some of my period projects ie recently created costume for a 'Marie Antoinette' photo shoot, which created the desired results.
'Wacky' and 'mad-hatter' character at times but also a perfectionist and serious once it comes to the make-up.
Always aspire to achieve excellent, maximum impact results... To create an Illusion...
