I got my first camera from my mother. It was an analogue piece, Zenit TTL, famous for its indisputable utility in campsite situations; as (Polish) legend has it - if you forget a hammer for pushing your tent pegs into the ground, simply use Zenit's heavy corpus instead...
Time passed, my cameras changed. Upgrading to a digital level obviously did not make me a professional, I am not even sure whether I'd ever want to become one.
Until a couple months ago I didn't even bother taking photos of people which I did not know very well. And still - I take most pleasure in working with people for whom photos (portraits especially) are more than 'nice pictures' (though I have some experience in shooting simple model tests).
In the beginning of January, 2010, I am leaving my hometown of Wroclaw, Poland to spend a couple of months as a student in Salem, Oregon. This means a lot of change for me. The only thing I'm sure of is that I won't leave my camera at home.
I joined Model Mayhem from mere curiosity, and maybe to meet people who'd like to work with me while I'm in the US.
