I am a professional makeup artist with over 20 years of experience in the field. I have worked as a national artist for Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden cosmetics and have also worked in the field of medical makeup.
Over the years, I have also worked in theatre, film, the beauty industry and with select international clients in the production of album covers, and in the corporate world, providing makeovers for top industry leaders.
My Ph.D. was in the field of the relationship of beauty to health at the University of Toronto, and I then taught at Ryerson University and held academic posts and the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. I taught beauty and theatre for the School of Makeup Art in Toronto and dermatology at Sutherland-Chan College over the past 2 years.
My focus is on the spiritual and personal aspects of makeup artistry. No theatre, the ancient Japanese way of makeup and dance, is best described by Zeami, the greatest No master in history. It best describes also my experience of makeup...
