Hexotica is an original handmade dark cabaret jewelry and accessories label seeking models, photographers, make-up artists and clothing designers who are interested in portfolio-building networking opportunities within Melbourne. I can also provide full costume attire to compliment my accessories for those interested in pin-up, burlesque, and gothic styles.
I am interested in working with people interested in high-concept, decadent, surreal, and striking shoots with theatrical styling, backdrops and props. I'd especially love to work with masters of photoshop with a Mark Ryden/Natalie Shau aesthetic. My favorite photographer is 666 Photography studio.
About Me:
I'm Christine Rice, designer and owner of Hexotica.
I have been crafting jewelry since my childhood, having sold my first bracelet at age 7, so I have over 27 years experience crafting jewelry in addition to 8 years in the wholesale jewelry industry as an assembler. I have assembled accessories and fascinators that were sold to boutiques such as Allanah Hill, Kookai, Bardot, Sportgirl and many other boutique clothing stores across Australia, so you can rest assured the quality of my products is up to the standards of these well-known retailers. I currently stock 5 local retail shops and sell online through Ebay and Etsy with a 100% positive feedback rating. I have been in business for two years.
I have accessorized burlesque performers for Melbourne's High Noon Ball and the Fringe Festival's VnV Boudoir as well as individual local acts.
