A Family Man⦠a Producer⦠a Model⦠or an Actor??? Why choose when this man gives you all of the above.
Theo âRick Vickâ Johnson seems to have been blessed by the Godâs themselves (if this was a Spartacus episode). Theo began his producing journey by gaining interest in producing tracks back in 1999 after not having the finances to purchase tracks from producers. Theo used a small settlement check to purchase a Roland MC 303, Tascam recorder, and a set of Dj Turntables. He began producing his own tracks and realized this is what he wanted to do. After doing some research and realizing that there were other artists out there with the same ambitions but little funds, he decided to place an ad in the Source Magazine promoting and selling his own beats. This decision was a step in the right direction; even after the ad was no longer published he continued to receive requests to purchase his tracks.
After a short lay off do to family and personal issues, Theo found himself right back where he left off. Working with a trouble youth and abused women program, he assisted them with creating songs that lifted their spirits and was to be performed at their graduation ceremonies from the program.
Theo then realized that he wanted much more than just selling beats through a magazine, he wanted a career in the industry. And so his journey continuesâ¦â¦.
Enters Theo the modelâ¦..
It was a typical day at the gym for Theo, until he was approached by another member who handed him his business cardâ¦.. Which changed everything. The card was from designer/photographer, Ean Williams of Cojor International. He stated that he liked Theoâs look and wouldnât mind working with him. Theo, had never thought about exploring the world of modeling, took this as a sign, believing that if God has blessed you with a promising opportunity, why not give it a shot, and so he did. He contacted Mr. Williams the next day and set up his first photoshoot for the mens underwear line Cojor Magnum.
Since then Theoâs had his face, and might I add body, all over the DMV (DC/MD/VA) modeling scene, from being in numerous of modeling shows to photoshoots, to request to be in artistic books and even websites that cater to the ladies. Heâs also been featured on Hellobeautiful.com for He can get it Wednesdays, Hip-hop Weekly Magazine, Urban Ink Magazine Issue 14, Bodybuilding.com weekly Transformation, Muscledog.com and numerous of other sites/prints.
Hitting the gym 5 times a week, Theo realizes hard work pays offâ¦.
Where will we see Theoâs face (cough) body nextâ¦.. Weâll just have to wait and see!
The Actorâ¦
It seems like this guy canât be stoppedâ¦..
Working with a fellow model that landed a lead role in a local show/series, Theo decided to take another step into unfamiliar territory, acting.
Obtaining the information from his friend, he decided to contact the Director of the show and thatâs all it tookâ¦.
Since being an extra for the show Theoâs has landed lead roles in short films such as First Day Home, based on a young black male who has just been released from prison after a 5 year bid. Theo has landed a very impressive role in a short film based on a book by an Author residing in England titled âTerminusâ, a vampire/horror film and other short films and projects. Heâs also received request to be in local plays and has been featured in music videos as well.
Like stated early⦠we might need a multiply choice option for this guy, heâs making the best out of everything heâs been bless with. Can you blame himâ¦.?
