About Me

My name is Tony and my friends call me LUX. I started creating clothing for my self in late 2007, because I was not all into the "screen print/graphic t-shirt era"! LOL. Every shop near me started to carry just that, denim and graphic T-Shirts. Dont get me wrong I love that style too, just not on me and since my family had been in the apparel business for over five decades, and me being their part time designer for 9 years, sourcing fabric and contractors was not that hard. Actually my family always wanted me to join their Shmata business, since my designs always did great. But I always refused.

By the summer of 2008 I got a lot of attention for my clothing and people always kept asking me where did you get that from? At that time, my job would not allow me time to create other people clothes too, so I just brushed it off. By the begining of 2009 I got unemployed and decided to pursue this, since I had lots of free time.

My summer line got sold out in two months, so now I am trying to take this further and take it more seriously. Who knows, in 2010 you might actually see me take on the family business.

I am here on Model Mayhem to network with models and photographers. I want to take my collection to the next level.
