CuRvY NYC & NJ based Plus Model Shanynn Raigh
After 6 years in the fit modeling industry, first as a size 6, then at a size 8, my body finally gave out. I was dropped by my agency and told time and time again to LOSE THE WEIGHT! I decided, instead, to embrace it's curves. I now celebrate my size 12 body, and encourage other women to fight the urge to morph into the Hollywood standard of beauty. I maintain a healthy lifestyle now, not a life of deprivation and insecurity. I have re-entered the modeling industry in hopes that I may one day encourage another young woman to truly see the beauty of her own spirit, body, and mind. We don't have to accept the 'standard'- together we can change it!
