I grew up in rural Connecticut as the son of a residential building contractor. I had exposure to many types of materials and the ways to work with them. Being a poor student in high school, I attended the first college that accepted me. I got bored quickly in Montana and started to make art. When I noticed a sewing machine my father brought at a yard sale during summer break, ($8) I took it back to my dorm room art studio. One night I started looking close at a t-shirt. After awhile I had a crude cardboard pattern. I transferred to an art college in San Francisco. After some experience and hard work, I'm in a beautiful studio of my own producing clothing for my friends and family. I joined modelmayhem to increase my exposure to people involved with the fashion industry. Currently I am a couturier for men and women. I am looking to move into ready to wear for men and women. Fabrics of choice consist of either 100% natural or obviously synthetic fibers. The objective lately is custom pants designed to be as sleek as possible allowing use of thicker fabric.
