Greetings, and thank you for checking out my site. I have been doing photography for 20-ish years and started with taking photos of my kids, now 23 and 18. When they got old enough to scowl at me when I pointed the camera at them, I switched to nature, bugs, flowers, and photographing my kids playing soccer and running track, because I found they wouldn't scowl at me in front of other people. I was never really interested in taking what I called "set up" shots of people with artificial lighting mainly because I didn't feel like I had the patience for model photography. However, with age comes patience (at least with me), and this past fall I decided to join my camera club's monthly portrait group and have found that I am really enjoying it because I'm learning a lot of new techniques. We've done studio shots and outside shots, and I like them both. I'm really impressed with the work I've seen here on MM and look forward to seeing more.
