For the designer of Aubrey Jade Clothing, fashion has always been a necessity in her life; she compares it to that of water, to quench her artistic thirst. As a young girl on family laundry days, she would take the socks that were missing matches and cut them up to make outfits for her Barbie dolls. Her granny who was once head designer and supervising pattern-maker for the French designer, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) & Levi Strauss Company, is the source of her fashion roots. In November 2007, Aubrey-Jade Designs was officially born, in honor of the loss of a very close family member and best friend Jade. Aubrey-Jadeâs collections vary from everyday wear to custom couture pieces. Her dedication and efforts to various charities such as a key sponsor and organizer for Feeding America in conjunction with Macys is very much appreciated.
