About me
Danielle Darkko is a beauty and a force reminiscent of the golden age of the pin-up girls. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY as a fan of societyâs beauty tastemakers â Vogue, Playboy, and MTV. This Italian/Cherokee stunner has jet black hair, olive skin, and the most alluring amber-green eyes â the perfect formula for melting most men! As a little girl, Danielle played dress up for hours â even dressing up her brother! Friends, family, and even strangers commented on Danielleâs keen fashion sense â the way she was able to dress herself as a child.
Danielleâs personality grew to be just as colorful and cutting age as her style of dress. As a teen, she found she had a talent for hair and make up too. She would dress herself and her girlfriends and give them each an individual âlookâ. Danielle also realized that school was not where she wanted to be. She was attracted to the bad boys and the musicians. The metal music matched her intensity and the fire that burned inside her. She quit high school and began working full time at the age of 16. After having a handful of jobs, it became apparent to Danielle that she had no desire to work for someone else. She wanted to be her own boss so she went back to school. She got her GED and then went to nursing school. Initially, she went because it was a career that she knew there would always be a demand for. After completing nursing school, she went to school for cosmetology, but nursing would be her back-up plan and cosmetology and beauty would be the key to her independence.
Between dropping out of high school and abandoning her familyâs business, Danielle found herself constantly under attack from her parents. Heavy metal music created the perfect escape for her. Danielle and her friends would go to concerts as much as possible. Bands like Metallica, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Stone Temple Pilots, Aerosmith, Sevendust, Mudvayne and many many others were her means of coping. As time went on, her constant presence at concerts began to create opportunities for her modeling career. To date, sheâs worked with members of Type O Negative, Living Colour, Black Label Society, Sekond Skyn, and legendary bassist T.M. Stevens as well as world renowned tattoo artist Paul Booth. Sheâs won and placed in several bikini contests in NY, NJ, FL, and Las Vegas. Danielle was named one of the Most Beautiful Women of Myspace in July 2009 as well as winning the Miss Longhair Hotties the very next month. Sheâs a host on the College Cooking Network and has been in negotiations for a reality show where she is the leader of a band of models. Keep a look out for Danielle in the Jersey Girls 2010 calendar as well as her very own calendar for 2011.
