I am a photographer based out of Austin, Texas that specailizes in portfolios, portraits, commercial and editorial work. Art is (and has been) my life. I went to school for it ( I have a studio art B.A. and Viscom A.A.) and I practice it everyday. I'm not a computer programmer that decided to pick up a camera to meet pretty girls. I'm not into photography to solve my midlife crisis. I also have a VERY attractive girlfriend that is usually present at most of my shoots.
I will be glad to provide references from other photographers and models if requested.
A little about me - My background is Spanish,. I am 31 and graduated from the University of Texas in 1999 with a B.A. in studio art and also have an A.A. in Visual Communications. I have been shooting for close to 10 yrs and also do graphic design for several local businesses.

I don't contact models very often for TFP/CD, if I do please respect my request with at least a yes or no response. if you don't like my work that is fine too - you won't hurt my feelings.
Otherwise, I believe my rates are very reasonable for the level of work I do.

Rates vary according to project, but start at $50 for basic head shots and $150+ for 2-3 looks. I offer make-up for an additional $50 and highly recommend this option. My MUA's are fantastic and the results show in the final images. You will receive 10+ retouched color balanced full-size print-ready images on CD. Initial consultations are free if you just want to discuss ideas.
You won't get 100 useless images from me. I believe in quality, not quantity. I don't believe in the machine-gun school of photography and I'm not here to figure out how my equipment works. I only want to produce the best work possible - as should you. Please note, if you DO need a set of a 100 images, rest assured they will all be of more than reasonable quality for that quantity!
PLEASE NOTE - Unless there are very extenuating circumstances, I require a minimum of 24 hour notice for any cancellations. I just don't have time to work with unreliable people. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

I have a small studio available for rent at my home. It is separate from my home, about 300 square feet w/ 14' + ceiling. In it I have several seamless backdrops and lighting (2 ABR800 heads with 2 large soft boxes, Alien bees ring flash + wireless trigger, I also have two JTL 750 watt hot lights (with soft boxes) if you don't like strobes) you can use. It will be completely finished in a few weeks. The bldg has AC + a two space heaters (large one for the room + smaller unit for the model). A lap top plugged into a stereo is there if you would like music, along with wireless internet.
$25 hr, or $100/day.
