About Me

Although some people in society may look upon makeup as a shallow indulgence of one’s vanity, it is a fact that to get ahead in life, one has to look one’s best. The will to enhance one’s natural beauty and recede one’s imperfections is only human nature. Makeup is a tool that keeps people looking and feeling their best—if the artist is well informed and creative. At Boycott Makeup, we combine a creative vision with precise and talented artistry that can, at times, either enhance the natural beauty of our clients, or sculpt unique and yet-unseen creations.

“Growing up in a conservative home, the world of makeup artistry was never a part of my life. No one in my rough-skinned Native American family wore much makeup. While I do have vivid memories of watching my mother create eyelashes with a few swipes of mascara and experimenting the minute she left the room, in the eyes of a young boy, makeup was still as foreign to me as it was unintriguing.”

It wasn’t until Brian began his college performance career in musical theatre that appearances and self-presentation began to seem as important as real talent. A mentor once said to him that show business is “forty percent how good you are and sixty percent how good you look doing it.” After his first few applications of makeup in shows, he was hooked. He was transfixed with how it worked and what it did for people.

Today, Brian’s ever-evolving artistic background includes a wide variety of applications. With his strong foundation in theatrical makeup combined with his sensitivity to modern trends and techniques, Brian fuses imagination with convention to deliver the full package.
