About me
Photography is a very deeply embedded infection. There is no known cure, no treatment, there is only indulgence.
My career is balanced between photography and a "real job" as a Mechanical Engineer to keep my wife happy and kids from living on mac-and-cheese(not that they'd mind). As it turns out, working in the product design arena often yields interesting opportunities to land other commercial marketing work. Many of the companies I deal with on an engineering level also have marketing needs for their websites, brochures, catalog pates etc. Between the engineering and commercial photography jobs, I manage to earn a decent living. Plus, it serves to enable my photography addiction. Some people sell love to fund their addictions, I sell mechanical designs and photography to fund mine.
I am always looking for models and other collaborators for commercial work.

My studio shoots are generally in Longview. (Appointment only though since I'm not there all the time)
Simple Terms
1. I will not photograph a living, breathing person without a signed model release.
2. I only pay for commercial jobs and select nudes.
Commercial Jobs / Paid Work
For commercial work I only hire models that I have worked with before and are proven reliable. If you would like to be considered for a commercial job but have never been in front of my lens, please let me know so we can set up a test shoot to give me something to show potential clients.
The model fee for a commercial job is determined by the client before I start looking for a model. You will receive this money in cash directly from me the day of the shoot when I receive your signed model release. The rights to the photos from paid commercial jobs belong to the client, and you may not necessarily receive images for your own use depending on the job and the client. Some companies allow me to share select images with the model and some have strict guidelines and don't allow it at all. Please understand that the client has paid for a product (images) and they retain all rights to the photos. However, I do make all possible efforts to provide you with web addresses, printed material, etc. for you to show off if you like. I'm also willing to provide written work recommendations.
Nude Sessions: Please note that "nude" means up to and including fully nude. (It may seem silly to have to define "nude" but I once had a model show up for a nude shoot, and after taking her cash she informed me she "only goes topless." Long story short, I never hired her again.) In any case, please let me know of any reserves you have before we schedule the shoot.
Normally I'll offer you a fee amount and you decide if you want the job. I will pay you in cash, and you must fill out and sign the release form before we begin shooting.
TFCD
I prefer TFCD shoots for my own personal projects, everybody gets photos and everybody wins. Plus, there are no time sensitive obligations and we can shoot when people are ready.
Escorts
First and foremost, be safe! NEVER PUT YOURSELF IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU CAN BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF I encourage you to take a friend with you anytime you're going to meet with someone you don't know. If you choose to bring someone to a shoot with me, they must either help or stay out of the way. Upon our first shoot, you will be happy to learn that I'm not an axe murderer. You may continue to bring an escort (especially if this person is also a model) if you like unless they become a problem. Please be realistic: Having a bunch of friends around can impede our work, and this can damage our working relationship.
Minors
I would certainly love to help young models get started, but only with the permission and presence of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or legal guardian must sign a permission form, and be present at any and all shoots. I will not, under any circumstances, photograph anyone under the age of eighteen without a signed permission form and a parent or legal guardian present. I make no exceptions to this. If tomorrow is your eighteenth birthday, then tomorrow we'll talk.
Bailing Early
If you leave early from a session I have paid you for, I will not call you back. (aside from emergencies, of course)
Flaking
I understand that life happens so it's important to let me know as soon as possible if you cannot make it to a session. Please don't leave me sitting, waiting, and wondering if you're going to show. On a TF shoot, this can damage our working relationship. On a paid commercial job, I will not hire you again.
My commitment to you
I will always conduct photo sessions and related business with your comfort, safety, and well-being in mind. I will pay you promptly and treat you fairly. I will never compromise your safety, or put you in harm's way for a photograph.
Your commitment to me
Give our photo shoot your best effort, which means showing up on time and being prepared. Learn your craft. If you've never modeled before, spend some time studying posing techniques and put together some of your own ideas.
Above all, have fun! These are the best years of our lives, let's use them to create!
