Hi!  I'm the hostess of The Diversity Pinup Project and an experienced freelance MUA with a passion for history and anything creative.  I am an artist who isn't afraid of color, is a perfectionist and does nothing halfway.  I bring my experience as a retro re-enactor, my skill as a fine artist (over 20 years as a painter and sketcher as well as experience in color theory), passion for history and my extensive attention to detail to any event requiring my services as a makeup artist.  I make certain the model as well as the photographer likes what he/she sees before I send the finished product out in front of the camera as I believe that a happy model equals superb shots and less editing for the photographer.  I feel that my job as a makeup artist is to make sure the photographer spends less time behind the computer screen editing and more time capturing beautiful photos.  I love creating a beautiful makeup look and want to be sure that not only is the model happy but the photographer too.

I take great pride in my extensive network of friends as many of the folks in it I have worked with before or know more than as mere acquaintances and can vouch for their professionalism, integrity and artistic "sensibility".  Stumped on obtaining decent photographers, models, stylists etc?  Feel free to ask me if I know anyone.  Chances are, I just might and I'm all about helping others in their creative endeavors.  I'm a huge supporter of the arts and am an artist myself.  I paint, I draw, I collect (if you need props or wardrobe, I can definitely help in that department too) and I can apply some killer makeup. 

***I specialize in makeup for model headshots and pinup, retro or kitschy makeup looks, I can also assist with vintage hairstyles.***

***If you do not read my casting calls thoroughly and you respond to one and do NOT fit the description of what I'm looking for, I will not be considering you for future projects.  My apologies, but I do require that people read my casting calls thoroughly before being considered for ANY projects.  I do SELECT TF work (TF means "trade for" not "free," this means you need to add some oomph to my portfolio for me to consider you if you are contacting me about TF), which entails that it needs to benefit the portfolios of ALL involved!  If it's different and something I might be missing from my portfolio please by all means contact me and sell me on your idea.  I might be open to it and may know some folks that would love to join in as well if you're looking for other participants or photographers. ***

*** I want to work with all types of models...especially looking for women with darker skin (olive to ebony skin tones) or tattoos (bonus if you are a woman of color and have a substantial tattoo like a sleeve, back piece or chest piece!) to expand my skill and portfolio!  I definitely enjoy working with alternative models so please don't hesitate to contact me if you've got a great idea!***
