I guess the best way to describe me is a "shutterbug." I'm not a professional photographer, but more of a "hobbyist." I photograph pretty much anything I find interesting- from animals to buildings, to clouds, to women, to clouds that look like women. Sometimes I'll sit in my back yard and photograph whatever catches my eye as it flies by (no UFO's yet)
I enjoy the whole process of making an image come to life- Not just using the camera. I love using different techniques for getting the image I want, sometimes that includes putting up a whole set, other times I am doing a composite in the computer (I prefer the former, but there certainly is a time and place photo editing software) If I can accomplish a desired look using "real world" objects I would much rather do that than add them later in the computer. So I end up working with blacklights, mirrors, sets, and doing a lot of experimenting with camera techniques. I am very fortunate to have friends and a great wife that work with me on such projects sometimes.
I also do more "traditional" photography as well, such as portraiture, artistic, etc.
I like to keep photo sessions as casual and fun as possible- I hope that anyone working with me doesn't feel like they are "working." I am always open for suggestions, and new ideas (I love figuring out how do do something)
Right now, I am strictly "TF-whatever" so if you're a "starving artist" like me, and want to get some shots in a no pressure, no time constraint, and fun environment, let me know what you'd like to do, and we'll see what we can create!
