About MePlease, kindly read my profile and take a quick look at my portfolio before contacting me...thanks, I really appreciate it. :)
As a visual artist myself, I would be very excited to be a part of your artwork. Think of me as a piece of your art medium, the substance which you use to create your art, like a brush or paint. The passion and drive I have to do photography modeling keeps me reliable and striving to make it happen, on time, and ready to shoot upon arrival, with a positive, cheerful, can-do attitude.
About me as a model: I have happily worked with over five dozen photographers in the Tucson and Phoenix area. As a model in Arizona, I am known for being talkative, bubbly and even humorous...I make a lot of my photographers laugh, and have a good time...imagine that! :) I have a varied wardrobe which is constantly growing. I do my own makeup and hair for shoots, according to the style of the shoot, and have been for the past five years (unless you want a makeup artist/stylist to do it for me, which is perfectly fine.) I keep my finger and toenails manicured and painted, just in case a shoot comes up during the current month (I am a fan of detail.) There are no easily visible modifications on my body, just one tiny tattoo on my right ankle, and a navel ring; that's all for body modifications (I have yet to even pierce my ears.). I am very familiar with my most flattering angles and poses, yet I do encourage who I'm working with to push me further with posing and give me dynamics (i.e., if I need to arch my back more, etc, please do tell me - I will bend over backwards for a great photo...literally...check my nude yoga pose in my portfolio!)
As for my educational background, I have A Bachelor's Degree from the Southwest University of Visual Arts, in advertising art and animation - meaning I can talk shop with you, use technical terms, and know what you are talking about (I also know a fraud when I see one, which is very helpful...!) I have five years experience in stage acting. I am best known for my reputation as a plus-size model, but I "re-branded" myself, by losing 6 sizes. I feel GREAT about my new body, my muscle tone is showing through, and I am continuing to work hard to improve it even more. I found out by losing so much weight that even though I stand 5'6" tall, I appear leggy, because I have a short waist and very long limbs, so I can pull off a lengthy look, which is a big advantage.
Limitations: Artistic and glamor nudes are welcome. However, open-leg shots, erotic, adult/XXX, girl/girl and foot/fetish photography are material I don't do. Also, during shooting, I feel that talk about my body in any way (size of me or my breasts, my appearance, etc.) is distracting, and very inappropriate; so is touching me without asking first. Please respect these boundaries. I reserve the right to stop the shoot and leave, if any of these boundaries are crossed.
I am available to meet, work and travel all weekdays and weekend days, from 7 am to 7pm (nighttime photography will need to be discussed.) I can provide excellent shooting locations all over town and state, both in studio and outdoors. References, ID, resume and rates also available upon request by email.
"Depends On Assignment" means I do both TFP and paid work, under certain conditions.
If you'd like me to model for you...
-For anything containing any kind of nudity,
-For the second time for you without trade of services,
-When the shoot will not directly benefit my portfolio, and/or
-You have little to no experience shooting models and would like my coaching,
I will be happy to discuss hourly rates. I offer private photo shooting sessions for reasonable rates, which are priced depending on the content of the shoot. Please feel free to contact me with any questions; Rates available upon request.
If you ask me to to do a TFP shoot, I will require you to bring experience and know-how to table; I know what I want in my photos, and I am not afraid to ask for what I need from a photographer, if I'm going to be trading my time and effort for images to use in my portfolio. For TFP shooting, I need you to have;
-At least three years of experience or college education in photography
-A Digital SLR camera and knowledge of how to use the manual settings on it (i.e., aperture, shutter speed, ISO, flash compensation and spot meter)
-Knowledge of lighting your subject
-Photo editing skills and software
These things are what creates a professional looking image that does not look like a home photograph. Under these conditions, will I work TFP for one shoot (subsequent shoots will be charged for.) However, if you really want to shoot with me and you are not experienced/don't have a Digital SLR camera, and are not able to spend a lot of money on a model, I will be very happy to negotiate a comfortable rate for you.
NOTE - I do not drive for personal reasons, so one of my responsibilities as a model is to arrange my own transportation, whether by bus, cab, or car. I am perfectly able to get studio locations inside the city limits on my own, on time. If we are shooting on location outdoors or the studio we are shooting at is located outside city limits, and it is not inconvenient for you, I may ask if I may be able to ride with you to the location we will be shooting at. Otherwise, if I am shooting in a place I am not familiar with, or outside city limits, I will need to bring an escort, not because I think you are dangerous, but because traveling there on foot might be, and I feel much safer traveling using the buddy system. One can never be too careful, especially in Tucson!
Any questions? Feel free to ask, I'm an open book.
I hope to work with you! :)
CreditsI hope to be involved in Moda Provocateur for SAAF, and other fashion/hair/makeup shows, during the upcoming Spring! :)
