So - I am almost done paying my dues to the photography industry (assisting etc), made the USA (Brooklyn NY and oftentimes L.A,) my permanent home, and am on track to becoming a full-time fashion imagemaker (still and motion) by mid next year.
While I am working on my projects, business and marketing plans etc, I am also looking to work with other talents (MuAs, hair, wardrobe and prop/set stylist, graphic designers) or fashion designers to pull from. The objective is to create stunning visuals that can benefit us all through testing, but also to build partnerships for future submissions and assignments and rise to the top!
I am originally from France, where I gained a lot of experience in editorial portraiture, mainly in the music industry, but fashion grew on me, and I am now looking to create a strong fashion photography book. I am also getting involved in motion picture productions and working on short fashion video stories to showcase brands.
Style and Approach!
For my own projects, I love to shoot on location (indoor or outdoor), often guerilla-style, in a very cinematographic, moody, dark and quite subtlety sexy style, with a lot of attention to color and light, often playing with natural light and strobes. I always want to tell a story, am not afraid of indie/incongruous/rebellious approaches to styling and imagemaking, and love to add elements of social observation or contemporary art into fashion photography. Most of all, I am seeking creative connections and to make every shoot a real collaboration!
I am still very open and happy to work on a FTP basis with any talented and dedicated models (M/F). I am of the view that professionalism, a real personality, the ability to have a broad range of expressions, a sense of adventure and a genuine collaboration are more important than experience; and I also really want to embrace diversity in my shoots. I just don't have much time to produce shootings other than my own projects (for which I usually cast talents directly) so it will be easier to work together if you can participate in the pre-prod (e.g. by securing a cool (or odd) location, coming with a suitcase of interesting clothes or bringing a talented stylist onboard etc) - so please shoot me your ideas.
Sure!! But I wont be on MM every day, so the easiest way to get in touch is to send me a good old mail or to contact me on Facebook: Facebook
