NOTE—I'm interested primarily in TFP collaborations, as I do this as a non-revenue pursuit. I occasionally hire specific models for a special shoot, but in general it is TFP.
MY GOALS FOR 2011
» 15 photoshoots (of course, quality matters over quantity);
» Add indoor location shoots to my outdoor and studio shoots;
» Explore glamour-style images;
» More low-light / soft images thanks to new pro equipment;
» Apply new advanced beauty retouching techniques;
» Simply keep gettin better.
Chillin' with the penguins in Antarctica.Hi there,
I'm based in Ottawa, and sometimes travel to Toronto, Montreal, and places in between.
I'm a skilled amateur** photographer, for the pure enjoyment of it. Maybe one day it'll be a "retirement" job. (**Amateur means I don't earn the majority of my income from photography—it doesn't relate to skill or conduct.)
My interests include portraits, sporting events, and nature travel. I've photographed models in the Arizona desert, sled dog races in the Yukon winter, and penguins on the shores of Antarctica (that's the South Pole, not the North
).
I network here to meet talented models, as well as MUAs, stylists, and designers. By working with you I hope to expand my portfolio and creativity, and produce beautiful images.
My work is a portrait style, with a flavour of editorial fashion and glamour. I aim for appealing combinations of beauty that are classy, sexy, playful, and sensual.
I prefer location photoshoots, particularly outdoors, to studio shoots. The infinite variety of locations provides a degree of detail and interest to photos—a "story"—that I find absent in anything but the most elaborate of studio sets. Outdoors I can move 20 feet and achieve an entirely different photo. In a studio I can't move 20 feet without walking into a wall.
I shoot with professional-grade equipment, and do all my own advanced retouching and large-format prints.
Thanks so much to all the people posting compliments on my work!

Credits
For "credits", I use my Friends list to show with whom I've worked, am planning to work, or otherwise have an association of some kind.
Note, for this reason I don't accept every friend request. Actually telling me your interests and availability to shoot is the best way to get scheduled. I'll friend you if it looks promising. Leaving photo comments always helps, too!
