I'm Laura and I've been a hair extensionist for 7 years. I specialise in handmade dread extensions and mixed media hair designs. I've been fortunate enough to design hair for some fabulous models and no two designs have ever been the same - I always enjoy creating unique pieces that suit people's own style and personality. I generally tend to work with my own handmade extensions but often mix media to create different looks. The hairstyles themselves are versatile; they can be as temporary as wigs, falls, or clip-in extensions, or fixed for a longer period of time by installing dreads or braiding in loose extensions.
I'm looking to expand my portfolio and collaborate on projects that include more than just hair design - I'm especially interested in working with clothing/jewellery designers and make-up artists. I'd also love to style at shows and runways. I'm happy to try any style, although mostly I work with alt styles: steampunk, gothic, victoriana, fetish, and cyber.

*I work full time in the week, and whilst I am happy to join in with shoots at weekends (and in the week if given enough notice) I need at -least- two week's notice to make hair! Synthetic dreads are a very time-consuming process. I often have things in stock which can be modified to speed the process along but I can never accept short-notice requests, I'm afraid. I'm happy to loan items out as long as a deposit (fully refundable on return) is paid.
