I've been away for a while to reassess my creative goals. But I've missed the immediacy of photo, so getting back into it. I really need to freshen my port up, so enlisting the help of you lovely people.
I am working with many talented cinematographers and photographers to shoot extremely stylized and cinematic video and photo images, with an emphasis on lush lighting and atmosphere, and impeccable styling. Please see my casting calls below.
I am also pursuing directing, producing, and writing work with short films, music videos, commercials, and narrative corporate videos. If it's fun, exciting, stylish, and sexy, I'm on it! Contact me if you're looking for collaborators on a film/video project.
I have mentored lighting and photography for several years and always open to sharing info and technique, so feel free to contact me if you're new to artificial light and looking for advice or would like some on-set experience. I'll never turn down a good hand.
First and foremost, I do this to have fun. If you're looking for the same, you seriously can skip everything else below this sentence.
I have a penchant for fashion, editorial, and narrative photography with edgy, dark, pin-up, surreal, fetish, or tongue-in-cheek touches--many times all at once. But as long as it's awesome and outrageous, I'm down.
I am VERY open to the ideas of others--collaboration rocks!--and would love to create strong, long-lasting, extremely creative, working relationships with other photographers, models, stylists, and anyone frighteningly creative. An off-shoot of this is my fledgeling idea to create a Bay Area based collective of like-minded folks to bounce ideas off of, team together for, and generally support each other, whether that be with shared studio space, equipment, props, clothing, locations, or other resources. And what's better than having fun with those you can work with?
I shoot both film and digital, b/w and color. I would prefer local work, although travelling would not be out of the question.
Oliver Mendoza--He was the one that made me realize how much I like wild and zany photography. You will be missed. RIP
