Florence Kurniadi’s involvement in fashion began at an early age, starting with a passion dressing her “Barbie” dolls from head to toe. Fashion remained her passion when she was growing up and eventually led her to attend Academy of Art University and Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco. While at FIDM, Florence had the privilege of collaborating with a few talented models and photographers. The experience helped to shape her style and vision in fashion further. Her experience includes venturing as a freelance fashion stylist for Bridal and Fashion Shoots, whose work included editorial for the Russian Car magazine.
After graduating from FIDM, Florence pursued opportunities at a variety of well known fashion companies around the US. Companies she had the privilege working for include Gap, Inc. (San Francisco), Jonvaldi (New York City) and Catherine Malandrino (New York City). Her passion for fashion drove her to deepen her skills in Milan, Italy, a fashion city she always dreamed to venture to. In Milan, she attended Instituto di Moda Burgo and graduated with a specialization in Bridal/Costume and Menswear pattern technical construction.
With her experience and a dream to create her own fashion line, Florence moved back to her home country, Indonesia and launched her own business in July 2009. Her fashion line was immediately received an enthusiasm and continuous orders. In 2010, Florence premiered her first runway show featuring her collection “Sparkle and Glitz” influenced by her signature "sophisticated irresistible" look. In that same year, She also introduced “La Bella Vita”; her affordable Prêt a Porter (Ready to wear) collection which caters all market level.
Florence’s works are uniquely characterized by their fresh and timeless design.
