2011 EXPOSED: THE CONTEMPORARY NUDE, 1650Gallery ANNEX, Los Angeles, CA
I exhibited two works at the
FUSION in the Visual Arts Exhibition, at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI.
I am planning other exhibitions of these abstractions in the future, also at the Soho Photo Gallery. Let me know if you would like to be part of the future exhibitions.
While I design the paintings, they are really collaborations. I let the model decide on what part of their bodies they want to be painted, G rated, nude or anything in between. I ask models if they have a color preference. I ask for feedback from the models throughout the painting process. I do not do a painting that could be on any model, each painting is inspired by the particulars of each model's body.
Themed body paintings, animals, reproductions of scenes or other art does not fit the needs of my portfolio. I cannot do that style of painting as a trade.
If you are interested in modeling for a painting send me a private message, and email, even a Tag saying you are interested. Sending a friends request doesn't tell me you want to take part in a collaboration. I generally ignore drive-by Friend Requests.
MY WORK-For near future, and probably much longer, this is the way I will be photographing my body paintings.
Model:Sha-Lynn #1408998
I will photograph the full painting, and the face (if that is what you want for your portfolio). I will also be doing close-ups to get images for my Abstraction album.
I am very interested in the texture of the skin and shape of the body, so it has to be photographed close up. Trying to enlarge in the computer will not give me this result

I will work with models from non-nude, implied nude, topless, to full nude.
Half of my portfolio is G rated, I will work within any model's limits. One restriction, I will not paint a model with clothing or pasties for trade.
Prefer models with minimal tattoos and piercings, with no plastic surgery or augmentation.
I don't have a set design I plan in advance, I start off with a basic idea and let the model's body suggest where the painting should go.
~I use CraftyDab brand Face Paint Crayons and Kryolan Professional body paints. Both products are FDA approved for application on the skin.
I am doing this TFCD and I will give you copy of the images I shoot for your portfolio at the end of the shoot. Even better bring a flashdrive or laptop and I will download the images immediately. The painting and shooting would takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the design.
ESCORTED MODELS I am fine with escorts, as long as they do not get involved in the shoot, and please only one person. Escort arrangements must be discussed at least 24 hours before the shoot.
Please leave all piercings and jewelry at home.
References are important for both the model and the photographer. Some of the women I have worked with have offered to take phone calls from models who are interested in discussing this project. Let me know and I will give you their phone numbers.
