From talk show hosting and features reporting to childrenâs television and comedy, Janica Southwick has worked as an up beat and diversified television personality and bilingual MC in Japan for the past ten plus years. She made her debut at Fuji TV, as a regular comedian in Japan's top rated program, "Vocabura Tengoku". For five years, Janica starred in "Eigorian", an internationally recognized children's television program at Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) as the main actress and ventriloquist. She has hosted numerous national prime time weekly talk-shows and acted in a laundry list of TV dramas. Through her travels around Japan as a travel reporter for several years, she has mastered several dialects of Japanese. She is a respected bilingual MC, and has hosted Japan's top events, including Miss Universe and Miss World and a plethora of official diplomatic events, as well as being the official announcer for events such as World Cup Soccer 2002. As a certified image consultant, she is gaining popularity as a self-motivational speaker and travels nationwide giving upbeat seminars to major corporations such as NEC, Sharp, and Fuji Zerox on presentation and self-image. Janica also has her own column for Seventeen magazine ( Japan ) and is a writer for several other publications. Janica studied under Makoto Shichida and is also a specialist in right-brained learning for children.
