M'CHEL BAUXAL

Celebrity Makeup Artist / Hair Stylist, based in Portland Oregon and known internationally for her talent.

Born in Norfolk Virginia and raised in Aurora Oregon, M'chel ventured down to L.A.'s American College of the Applied Arts at the young age of 18. She then transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and received her B.A. in Fashion Design in 1996. While working with the special effects makeup team for Six Flags Magic Mountain October Fright Fest, she developed a passion for makeup and pursued it full time after graduation. M'chel acquired every book that would increase her knowledge in makeup artistry. She taught herself all the basics about beauty, airbrush, special effects and hair design. She then utilized her knowledge to market herself in the entertainment industry.

Currently appears monthly on KATU/Channel 2 educating on current make-up trends. M'chel has fourteen years experience in the entertainment industry, and has spent eleven of those years in Los Angels working with such clients as ABC, NBC, FOX, Universal, Fisher Pathways, Disney, Comedy Central, MTV, Bravo, Discovery, Nike and Adidas. Her celebrity clientele includes President Barack & Michelle Obama, Dakota Fanning, Alicia Silverstone, Amy Roloff, Aldis Hodge, Christian Kane. She has been booked for numerous film, television (including HD), video, print, editorial, fashion clients and featured in numerous makeup publications and magazine covers. She is the winner of five prestigious International, National, Regional and State Makeup/Hair Artist Awards.

M'chel is highly qualified, respected, extremely reliable and approaches every project with professionalism. Her current venture is managing her own make-up line called BAUXAL.

In short, she is an artist who is dedicated to her career and continuously improves her skills to keep her at the top of her profession.
