About MeWe are an award winning studio with experience in journalism, fashion, animals and nature, commercial advertising, fine art, and light erotica. Our projects range from conventional portraiture to commercial photography to individual projects including art shows, calendars and cards, and model portfolio development. We tend to work toward a natural look and not "high key" shots. While some projects require fully professional models, budget constraints frequently mandate that less experienced models need to be used and, therefore, we can frequently provide on opportunity for exposure others cannot. TFP or TFCD is frequently done. Our primary goal is to push art to new levels for both the photographer and model. If you have a project or shot in mind, let us know!
Regarding nude photos; I do a lot of them as I believe it the pinnacle of artistic merit. In honesty, if you are completely against being nude, you are probably not the type of model we look for. NOTICE that this is different from not being comfortable being nude with a particular photographer; some are creepy.
And there is nothing wrong with this. Some models are only interested in commercial work, some just in art, and some both. In fact, most of the 'super model' types jump back and forth. For those who have chosen to stick with just commercial, we wish you the best of luck.
I look to use the individual beauty of each person who models to tell the story I want to tell. Frequently this involves the nude form as it is the best, most relational, most charismatic form of art (extra credit for those who identified the reference to Plato's "The Republic"). This is not a judgement, just a truth we have observed. Shelly Winter captured this basic concept when she said, "I think on-stage nudity is disgusting, shameful and damaging to all things American. But if I were 22 with a great body, it would be artistic, tasteful, patriotic, and a progressive religious experience.” In other words, to be the type of model for our shots you must be comfortable in your own skin or at least willing to risk it; otherwise the real you is not present even if you are wearing clothes. You don't have to be perfect, just real. You are already beautiful and I want to be the artist that captures that fact. If you are ready or if art is already in your blood stream, contact us.
