I am a professional photographer from Germany based in NY. After years of commercial photography shooting editorial, lingerie, jewelry and some celeb work, I am taking some time out to focus on my personal work, completing my first monograph titled "beauty in places beyond the normal experience". Work from these shoots, which I started aside from assignments, has been published international in magazines like Black and White, MAX Germany, Even, Marquis, Designers Digest including covers and several art books as well as shown in art galleries.
I love to shoot in abandoned locations, which create a special atmosphere, grown over decades, which you can never replicate in a studio. During the project I had the opportunity to shoot with excellent models, who felt that creating the images was a once in a lifetime experience, making their beauty immortal in a surrounding which shows the effect of time. My goal is to capture the timeless beauty of the model in locations at the end of their time. My approach is conceptual and based on team work.
Comments are always welcome. Because I concentrate mainly on the art project I only accept very limited assignments but I am open for projects.
If you are interested in an art project here is how I like to work
All images will be handled responsible, meaning nothing goes where you do not want it for example on the Mayhem profile, except you want the images there.
My work always has a concept before hand, which is based on location and model. There are location shots and suggested poses, so you will know what we are shooting for. We work as a team, so you have a say in the choice of location and in the posing and you can develop your own ideas from the concept.
We will share the income from publications, which are print (art book, magazine and galleries) only, no scattering over the Internet.
I always take time to produce commercially usable shots which are mainly lingerie or also close up during the shoot which you can use for your portfolio.
I will pay for all travel expenses and other.
