About me
Born in the historical city of Philadelphia, PA, Shelley Lashley has a very colorful background indeed. Her parents are of Caribbean descent and came to the US from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. Shelley also has ties to Barbados, where her father’s family originated, and Grenada via her maternal roots. Although she grew up in Philadelphia, Shelley was very much raised in the Caribbean culture. Most meals consisted of Caribbean cuisine while music and stories of life on the islands filled the air. Her parents were very active in her life and raised Shelley to be the well-rounded individual she is today - the possessor of a BS from Penn State University, a professional athlete, a talented vocalist, and a skilled fashion model.
Throughout Shelley’s life, there has always been an interest in the world of entertainment. Whether it was singing on the church choir at the age of 4, learning to play the oboe and studying gymnastics in middle school or performing in the marching band, choir, and as a cheerleader in high school, Shelley loved to entertain. Even during college at PSU, Shelley was involved in the Christian Hip Hop/Lyrical Dance team called Halal. At PSU , Shelley learned to ice skate and performed in the Penn State Ice Show. She also studied ballroom dancing and Judo martial arts. Upon graduating from college, Shelley learned of an opportunity to try out for the Lingerie Football League and went on to become a Defensive End and Offensive Linemen for the Philadelphia Passions.
Throughout all of her other endeavors, Shelley has also made prominent accomplishments in the world of modeling. A Barbizon graduate, she has walked in numerous fashion shows as well as participated in the Miss Teen Pennsylvania USA pageant. As seen on the ‘Celebration of Black Models’ episode of the Tyra Banks’ show, Shelley walked the streets of New York and released symbolic black balloons along side Tyra and many other top models. Shelley was also a finalist for Campus Girls USA representing her Alma mater.
As #3 on the Philadelphia Passions team, Shelley rose quickly through the ranks of the team impressing the coaches with her skills on the field as well as the owner and becoming Marketing Director for the team. As Marketing Director, Shelley’s list of experiences grew dramatically. She had numerous TV appearances including on CBS, NBC, Fox 29, Tony Luke’s Eagles Mania and Philly.com segments. Shelley's radio appearances include shows such as WMMR with Preston and Steve, 610 WIP Sports radio, YSP with Danny Bonaduce, 1540's Wilder World of sports, KTHO in L. A., and ESPN radio. Shelley has also hosted many events as a Passion including charity events, Eagles and other celebrity parties as well as league events.
As Shelley’s career blossoms, opportunities continue to present themselves to her. She is anxious to venture into the music industry and eventually the big screen. Shelley also has lofty goals as a model which involves billboards, commercials and loads of high fashion. Philanthropy is also very important to the budding star as well as a Masters degree in Nursing. The sky is definitely the limit for this highly-talented and motivated young woman.

LINGERIE FOTBALL LEAGUE-- PHILADELPHIA PASSION May 2009- Present
The Philadelphia Passion is one of the newest teams part of the Lingerie Football League. The Lingerie Football League (LFL) is a women's American football league. The concept originated from the hugely successful Super Bowl halftime alternative television special called the Lingerie Bowl which draws millions of viewers as a pay-per-view event broadcast annually directly opposite the Super Bowl halftime show. The television mega-special has become a staple of Super Bowl Sunday festivities for millions worldwide being broadcast in over 85 countries.
