I like vintage/thematic/worldly/sexy/artsy people shots, as I hope is exemplified in my port.
For the past year, I've been shooting tintypes, process circa 1860s. I use an 8x10 field camera (hand-made for me by a craftsman in upstate new york) and large brass period "petzval" type lenses. The exposures are typically from 4 to 8 seconds. I can make/shoot/process a plate about every 15 minutes, so maybe 4 an hour.
I'm TF only. I typically get about 10-12 plates in a shoot. Of these I'll give you at least 3, and sometimes more. I keep the best ones, which I scan and normally send to you that night. While some plates are obviously better than others in terms of visual impact, each plate is, I think, special. A tintype is literally one-of-a-kind, with great in-person visual effect given the amount of actual silver on the plate.
Finally, I prefer shooting with models who are open to shooting topless. At a minimum, I want to shoot with women who are comfortable --truly comfortable-- with implied nude.
Thanks for looking. Ed
