I'm originally from Alberta. I came to Vancouver to go to Emily Carr University which I'm still attending. I'm a third year in the photo program. My main goals are to build a portfolio and more experience. Being new to the city I do not know a lot of people and have a tendency to be stuck using the same people on a regular basis and I want more of a variety. I would like to also practice working with models that I do not know very well just to gain the ability to get the same outcomes as the models I do know (relaxed expressions and everyone is comfortable etc.) I would also like to practice with a variety of different types and styles of photography.
My photography has a fashion feel to it. Some of my more recent photo shoots are almost like movie stills and have been put together as narratives. Most of the locations were set up outside or where ever would work for the shoot. the type of lighting used in majority of them would be natural light if outside during the day, the rest are lit with hot lights. I have of experience with hot lights and have worked with them quite a bit. I would like to practice more in the studio and get the feel of strobes.
After school is over I would like to get into the fashion or music industry and move on from there.
As for contact, emailing me details would be the best way for me. I check my email regularly so I would do my best to respond as soon as possible.
