While I often describe myself as a “life photographer”, my work is deeply opposed to your typical “still life,” as I work to capture people, places, animals, and events with a level of insight and interest that creates living, breathing images.
My need for adventure, my passport, and my inquisitive eye serve as tools that are every bit as critical to my photography as are a lens and shutter.
Though I reside in Southern California, I seek inspiration in as many places as I can find it, and often spend days, weeks, or months looking through lenses in such locales as the streets of Amsterdam, the ruins of Peru, or the secluded villages of Mexico. More important than my search for places, however, is my search for people, as I am always on the hunt for other artists, creatives locals, expatriates, and neighborhood heroes and antiheroes—whether it be to collaborate, share a cup of coffee, or capture a borderless company of culture, character, and creativity on film.
The result?
Real photos of real people taken while having a really good time.
