My nickname is Duck and I own and operate a tattoo studio here in Connecticut. I have worked as a runway model (back in the day...) and as a graphic artist, which gives me a unique understanding of what makes a great photo. Photography is an old interest that has recently been resurrected by the digital age.
I run an informal photo group on meetup.com called "My Photo Group". You can learn more about or events by visiting www.meetup.com/My-Photo-Group/. We get together as a group for a variety of photo sessions; from fashion and glamour shots to landscape and product shots and anything in between.
If you are a model looking for a photographer to collaborate with on your next project and want the freedom to play and experiment, give me a call. By working in conjunction with the photo group, it gives you access to a variety of photographers and a great way to gain experience in front of the camera.
Currently all work is TFP/TFCD for all models without experience. More experienced models will be compensated for their time and prices will be negotiated prior to the photo shoot. All new models will need to do test shots with me prior to any scheduled shoots. Test shots are unpaid, no exception. All models will need to sign a release form prior to any shoot, also no exception.
I expect a certain level of professionalism from the models I work with. As an ex-model myself I know what to expect from the models I work with. Believe me I know all the tricks. Once you agree to a shoot, I expect communication. That means phone calls answered or returned and emails responded to. If you do that then we'll get along just fine otherwise I will never use you again.
Head shots and resumes are not essential but if you have a resume it will help me, if not I may ask you to fill out a simple survey form. Unless otherwise specified, you will need to know how to do your own hair and makeup. Wardrobe will be discussed prior to any shoot and a list will be provided. Unless otherwise specified, you will need to provide your own wardrobe.
While all this sounds rather harsh and to the point, I am an easy person to get along with and have a really great sense of humor. As long as everyone is happy and the job is getting done, expect to have a good time.
