About Designer Dolly Donshey
At age 19, Dolly Donshey followed her dream of becoming a fashion designer by studying under Jan Wutkowski, a renowned milliner from Melbourne, Australia. It was with Jan that Dolly learned the art of hat making and design but this was only the first step on her journey as a designer.
At age 20, she began her brand and released her first millinery collection, Lola, named after her fabulously fashionable grandmother. Cycles, her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, followed and was her first collection to walk down the runway at Fashion Week Tampa Bay. Through this experience, Dolly discovered that clothes and accessories were only one piece of the puzzle and that she had a deep hunger to learn and achieve more. She explored other creative outlets and found ways to bring her stories and concepts to life through sound, image, motion and other forms of multi-media.
Dolly is now 23 years old and has since created a custom corsetry line, a luxury t-shirt line and a full ready to wear clothing line as well as continuing her custom millinery line. Dolly has also been featured in magazines around the world such as Style-ology Magazine, En-Vie Magazine, Japan and Vertical Tampa Bay and on radio and television shows like 97x's "The Morning X", Fox 13, NBC and ABC (see her press at www.monstruosite.com). This is just the beginning to what Dolly has to offer. She continues to push her limits and in 2013, expect even more surprises and excitement out of this budding designer. The concepts keep getting bigger, the designs keep getting better and Dolly, well she's just busy being Absolutely Awesomesauce.
