Most people know me as Miss Nikki Napalm. I can be an alternative model, but most importantly I'm a makeup artist. I have also recently learned to do hair in retro/pin-up and vintage hairstyles and am pleased to offer this as a service.
About my makeup background...
I am a professionally trained make-up artist, educated at Smashbox Studios, L.A. by the national artistry team and by lead artists with Benefit Cosmetics LLC. After attending fashion school in 2005, I decided to expand my knowledge of the industry and have been working in the field with makeup for almost seven years. I started out at makeup counters inside department stores and have graduated to freelance work...painting faces behind the scenes at fashion shows, photo shoots and weddings. I have my own kit of professional, studio-quality make-up products and brushes and a separate digital portfolio of my makeup work.
About my modeling background...
I've been modeling since 2005 as well, but haven't been as serious about it until recently. In the past year I have hit some major milestones in my modeling career. In 2011, I appeared in 14 different magazines and was in 6 different live pin-up beauty pageants.
I enjoy doing both makeup and modeling very much. I challenge myself to be a jack of all trades and have my hands in every role in the industry. I am always punctual, respectful, fun, and give 200% during every shoot. I enjoy being involved in the whole creative process, and hope that each experience will help me become a successful photo stylist someday. I often have my own vision for a photo set and help create the scene, props, wardrobe, etc. I almost always do my own hair and makeup.
My figure makes me especially good for pinup photography, but I love to do anything creative and out of the ordinary and especially "themed" shoots. I enjoy vintage/rockabilly pin-up, punk, high fashion, alternative, etc, but can accomplish all styles. I am used to wearing extensions, hair falls and wigs.
I'm looking to build my portfolio as a make-up artist and also as a model, so at this time I am accepting TFP/TFCD offers, but I am being selective about who I choose to work with. I will ONLY accept offers from photographers with an agreeable style to that of my portfolio and only accept ideas that I feel will benefit my portfolio. If your online portfolio is 90% women in lingerie or bikinis and you ask me if I want to work with you, don't expect me to respond. I don't want to waste my time or yours.
When I travel to location outside of Orange County as a makeup artist, I charge $75 for the cost of my makeup usage, time, and gas. I also require at LEAST 2 digital headshots of the finished model in full size...these do not have to be edited. If a client would like their hair done, I offer this in conjunction with makeup. I charge $40 for hairstyling alone, but hair and makeup together for $100.
