I started playing with cameras and photography in high school. From there I dabbled in a few photography related projects and I have kept shooting throughout the years but never considered shooting for money.
Forward to today: I have been bit by the photography bug again so I’m moving toward making it a part-time job. Or at least make enough money to pay for this hobby. I have regained my seeing-the-world-as-a-photographer mode so I’m shooting a lot these day. And I’m having a hard time shutting off my brain that keeps on thinking up things and scenarios to shoot!
As far as styles and interests go, I seem to be drawn to low-key portraits. I like on-location model photo shoots. I’ll also keep shooting wildlife and landscapes as I quite enjoy being in the outdoors. In the meantime, I’m slowly assembling a small studio in my basement so I can do some photography when it’s cold out.
My first task is to rebuilt a decent portfolio. We’ll see what happens from there! If you have any project ideas, let me know. I’ll probably be interested.
