About me
Hi I’m Jessica Pernikoff, I was born and raised in Cali Colombia, where all memories (and everything else) smells like sugar cane. Cali is a very beautiful and warm city where all it’s characters dance salsa and drink delicious coffee.
I moved to the United States almost 5 years ago as an exchange student. Now I live with my beautiful husband and my French bulldog in Willie B (Williamsburg) Brooklyn; where art, hipsters, and crowded trains are part of the excitement of being in one of the most amazing cities in the world.
I feel completely lucky to be a photographer in NYC. Every corner is an amazing scene. Not only for the beautiful urban landscape, but also for the exchange of cultures that are only be possible here.
I’m very thankful to God for finally showing me and letting me do what makes me happy. I love how light gently lays on someone’s cheek. I love the rush and excitement that comes with being a photographer (even though I carry over 50 pounds of equipment on my back). Finally, I love going to bed knowing that the next day when I wake up, I’m going to do what I love most. Kiss my husband and carry those 50 pounds again.
