Amber Cannon

25 years young. Passionate, driven, inspired, hard working, determined, motivated; traveler, dreamer, and lover of life and this beautiful world we live in. I began cosmetology at the young age of 15, in 2003, taking the cosmetology program offered through my high school with RCCC Cosmetology in Concord, NC. I graduated and was licensed in 2005. I have worked at two very successful salons in Charlotte, NC; Haircolorxperts, where I began my career and was trained by the artistic director and master stylist, and The Orange Olive Hair Gallery, where over the course of a couple of years, became a master stylist and began taking over new stylist training and in salon education. I have traveled to numerous hair shows across the U.S. as well as taken classes for advanced education. In 2010 I attended the Vidal Sassoon Chicago academy for their ABC cutting and Mens barbering classes. In October 2012, I attended two classes at the Davines Ion Studio in NYC for editorial styling on curls/texture and braiding. I have also attended classes at hair shows including one by the amazing Kris Sorbie on editorial work, and others from NAHA award winners about photo shoots. I am also planning to take classes on makeup artistry and advanced knowledge on working with photographers, fashion shows, etc. I am going back to NYC for two weeks in February2013 to attend the editorial styling class at the Nick Arrojo Studio, as well as the Prive Academy editorial class which includes assisting their design team at NY Fashion week. I have recently relocated from my hometown to Nashville, TN and plan to venture into the world of editorial work. I am very eager and ready to continue to travel, network, and market myself and see where my talent can take me in this amazing and ever changing industry.
