Altered Aesthetic

Hello.

I am an Art Director for Red Filter Fine Art Gallery in Lambertville and a curator for the Straube Center Non-Profit Gallery in Pennington, NJ. I'm a multi-media artist dabbling in everything from drawing and painting to graphic design and illustration and even taxidermy art! Photography is my instant-gratification art though, particularly as I am a minimalist when it comes to post-processing. I do not airbrush my models - I like models that look human and relate-able. While my photographs invite viewers to create their own story lines, I want them to be rooted in reality - these are all real places, real props, real people, posing to bring the art to life.

I make every effort to compensate my models for their time. If I am running short on funds, I will always be available for TFCD.

I love to capture the essence of my models in natural and urban decay environments as well as the studio. The best shots I get are when my model is happy, and just doing his/her own thing with very little direction from me. Usually I'll throw out a few ideas to get started and tweak things here and there, but if you can take an idea and run with it, or bring your own ideas to the front, the photo will be that much more creative.
