When it comes to images Michael Lyons is no stranger to the lens. As a native of Los Angeles the home of fashion and movie making Michael knew at an early age he wanted to work in the field of entertainment. He grew up accustomed to using cameras for the reason that both parents worked for a film processing lab. His mother worked as a delivery driver for Silvertone lab’s in Los Angeles, and his step father worked as a colorist for Wane Tom studios processing lab, before taking a position with QPI Inc. At the age of 5, Michael began to notice the beautiful urban city streets of Los Angeles, California. He then received his first point and shoot camera and learned about color and processing film from his step-father. By high school Michael became interested more in video and began making videos for his friends and family. While in college he studied film production and founded Dionata Productions which offered video services for student organizations and the public which include groups such as, The Black Eye Peas, Exzibit, and the Alcoholics, just to name a few. After graduation Michael soon began lending his camera skills for various companies, like Time Warner Communications, LA City View Ch35, and Swank Audio Visual in Beverly Hills. After such a wonderful journey, he has come full circle and has turned his eye towards his first love, still photography. Michael is currently pursuing his Digital photography certification at UCLA while offering his services in portfolio, portraits, head shots, editorial, and stock photography through his new company Michael Lyons Photography. Michael has now come to model Mayhem to share his work with others in the same filed as well connect with new and innovative people with a similar passion for the arts.
