About Me

My name Amy Chen and I am an emerging young designer based in Brisbane.

It all started at the age of 8 when I made my first-ever dress; a paper corset with an oversized drawn on flower and pink plastic bags. Today, I am inspired by the way people go about their everyday life, as well as shapes and forms around us, including notable architectures.


In 2008, I was awarded 2nd place at the Ambiwerra festival’s fashion platter judges’ choice organized by St Aidans Anglican College with my jazz inspired wearable art. I have gained further recognitions at the APEX Australian Teenage Awards with the same wearable art as I was awarded 1st place at the QLD State Finals.
In 2009, my Sydney Opera House inspired garment was awarded 1st place at the QLD State Finals and 2nd place at the National Finals in Sydney at the APEX Australian Teenage Award.

I want to create unique and refreshing garments that compliment women’s features. I aims to provide simple elegance sure to set women apart from the crowd.
