Pip Johnson is a twenty-one year old, third year, photography student at Norwich University of the Arts. She has been working as a freelance photographer for four years and has built up a large portfolio of editorial images and conceptual portraits. Her work has been described to characterize a seventies feel to it with muted tones, shallow depth of field and a filmic approach to all projects. She has brought her life experiences into the images by depicting the grittiness of inner city living both in Norwich and Birmingham UK. Her work has been described as communicating a feel of urban revival.
She has also been exhibited at the Met in Birmingham as well as at Norwich University of the Arts. Published by FEED magazine, Lost Boy Zine and other independent companies.
"What can I say but wow, Pip’s work is definitely work to be taking notice of. Her photos have a warm and retro feel to them. When I look at them I almost feel like a 60’s LA aura around me. Definitely a talented and unique photographer.”
