In high school I developed my own film and prints and aspired to having my own dark room someday, but I have decided I like my Nikon DSLR and Adobe Lightroom much more.
I shoot for fun. I like to do trade shoots, but usually don't mind paying a modest fee. If you do shoot with me, you'll probably have a good time and get to hear some terrible jokes. My schedule is fairly flexible.
A few things about me:
-I shoot for fun, but I'm professional. I do like communication before the shoot about expectations so we're all on the same page when we meet up.
-I usually like to meet up before a shoot and drive to the location. I do this because that extra few minutes ahead of time breaking the ice helps us both feel more comfortable at the shoot which makes for better pictures. It's not a deal breaker, but it's helps.
-For about a year I tried looking at what other folks did and tried to improve my work based on what other professionals believe, but I've kicked off the training wheels and I'm shooting what I think looks interesting.
A word about punctuality: I'd rather meet on time, but if you're late, I don't start the shoot with a chip on my shoulder. If your early, great. If you'r on time, great. If you're a few minutes late, great. Please don't be a half hour late though. Again, I won't start the shoot with a chip on my shoulder, but I'm self-employed so that means when I'm taking time off of work to shoot, I'm not making any money.
