About Me

As a photographer I think I have the eye of a designer and an eye for detail. I studied Graphic Design in London and worked in advertising as an art director for some time. And while I briefed photographers in my day job, I took photographs for myself in my free time. Purchasing a set of tungsten redheads I began to play around with light. At Art College it was all about creativity and generating ideas, nothing technical. Deciding to focus more on the technical side of photography I recently completed a Diploma of Photography at Sydney Institute.

I’m looking to collaborate with subjects who love being photographed and who inspire me. I’m not really a point and shoot photographer; I like to take the time to light my subject and find the best angles. I love lighting an interesting face or toned body, painting and sculpting with light, exploring colour and composition, using my various personal obsessions as the context. And although I still currently shoot on film and hot tungsten lights for my personal work, I am contemplating moving to more modern technology... eventually.
