There are photographers of all different kinds, but infrared photographers are a rare breed. I have decided to dedicate myself to the art of infrared because...
1) I want to look at the world through eyes that see what normally can't be seen.
2) The surreal look of IR is an ideal fit for my sensibilities.
3) The enemy of art is the absence of limitations, and shooting IR exclusively is a heck of a limitation.
4) IR is a very distinctive visual style, which is a great way to distinguish myself from more conventional photographers.
5) It's just cool.
At this time, I am only looking to work TFCD. I want to collaborate with people who have a similar interest in taking risks for the sake of creating fantastic images. The goal should be to push the envelope, rather than rehashing what others are doing.
I am willing to travel to all of the major cities in central Texas. Occasionally, I will post casting calls either here or on craigslist, so be sure to look for them. You may contact me anytime through this site. If you have an intriguing idea for a shoot that we could do, then I would love to hear/read all about it. I am open to all kinds of models.
Infrared is not for everybody. It renders the skin pale and the eyes dark, giving you a somewhat ghostly appearance. On some people, their veins may become visible on their limbs and torso. So do not expect a conventionally glamorous portrayal. These quirks are what I love about IR, and I hope to emphasize them in my photos, rather than hide them. If you accept and embrace how IR will make you look, then I eagerly welcome you to join me on my journey into an invisible realm.
