In the last few years I have primarily taken photographs of models dressed in paper and without knowing it turning into a project. This "Paper Dress Project" started mainly because I was curious to what extend paper could be used in this way.
Initially my models were wrapped in paper on the set, which oddly enough, gave me some startling results to fuel the process. As I went on, however, I found this method restricted the diversity in shapes. So this prompted me to start preparing my ‘wrappings’ in advance - using different types of paper, sewing machine, pins and tons of staples and tape. I am still bedazzled by the fact that a seemingly simple product, that passes through our hands countless times a day, offers so much artistic multiformity.
If you like my Paper Dress concept and want to join one of my shoots, please feel free to send me a message.
