Welcome to my page and Thank you for stopping by. My name is Jared J. but you can just call me Jay. I must have inherited my passion for photography from my mother who always had a camera in hand and countless boxes of photographs. I enjoy the conceptual side of photography that pushes the boundaries between snapshots and Art. To me, Imagery, regardless of form, is the ultimate expression of reality.

I began the formation of my style in 2008, during my time as Senior Portrait photographer for Life Touch. Starting as an Elementary and Middle school photographer, I quickly worked my way to become a Lead Photographer and eventually Senior Studio Manager. Over the course of the next 5 years, I photographed 1000’s of high school seniors, helping capture portraits of youth that will be shared for generations. This experience taught me so much that is often hard to describe without launching in an hour long conversation about the subject, lighting, composition, theme, posing, emotion, passion, style, color, theory… and I’ll stop now.

In 2014, I began journey around the world as a photographer aboard a cruise ship. Over the course of 3 years, I traveled to 65 countries on 6 continents and quickly advanced from photographer to video producer to photo department manager. I’m so thankful for this opportunity, as it has really opened my eyes to this large, large world we all share. My travels include; Antarctica, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, France, China, Thailand, and Japan.

I currently live in Daytona Beach, Florida studying Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones) at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. My wife and I live together and own a business selling goods online and as we have established ourselves, I have been drawn back to my passion of photography.
