"Only the mediocre are always at their best" Jean Giradoux
"A Ming vase can be well-designed and well-made and is beautiful for that reason alone. I don't think this can be true for photography. Unless there is something a little incomplete and a little strange, it will simply look like a copy of something pretty. We won't take an interest in it."
-John Loengard, "Pictures Under Discussion"
Taking a new approach, and learning to see all over again. Not shooting as often-but definitely shooting BETTER-which is really what it's all about for me.
TFP is not something I encourage-I've invested in my career, and you should be willing to make the same investments...HOWEVER-if I ask you to shoot, I won't be asking you to pay for it. (That just seems a little tacky to me! LOL)
I shoot when I'm ready, and when it feels right. I DON'T shoot just to add more images to the world-but to CREATE images I expect to want to see over and over. It's VERY gratifying to be able to look at a photograph hanging on the wall for 5 years, and still be glad it's there.
